The driver of a Renault car has been stopped by police in the west of Suffolk while officers have also arrested a man for shoplifting.
The Norfolk and Suffolk’s Roads and Armed Policing Team and Road Casualty Reduction Team halted the vehicle on the A11 at Mildenhall, on Sunday.
The driver was found to be a provisional licence holder and provided a positive roadside drug test for cannabis and cocaine.
They also discovered that he was wanted by the Metropolitan Police for domestic assault and was arrested.
Meanwhile, Mildenhall police arrested a 50-year-old man and charged him with two offences of shoplifting.
He was discovered taking items from the TKMaxx store in the High Street after he was spotted by security staff at the shop.
The man is also wanted on a failing to appear warrant from December.
A Tweet from police said it was “good work from store security”.
