A social enterprise run by a Sudbury charity has benefitted from a donation of special stools and equipment for its cafe kitchen.

The Bridge Project, which was set up in 1995 to assist disadvantaged adults within the community, runs a cafe in Gainsborough Street and provides a hot meal delivery service. It provides a safe environment to support and develop those living with dementia, learning disabilities and mental health issues.

TGA Mobility donated equipment after their Sudbury showroom manager Rachel Elding spent a day helping at the Bridge Project’s weekly dementia cafe. She said: “I thoroughly enjoyed serving lunches and joining in with the quizzes. I decided instead of collecting funds for the charity to donate perch stools and specialist utensils. These will ensure students with disabilities can sit more comfortably in the kitchen and prepare food with greater confidence.”
