A seafront bar is to have its licence reviewed following concerns of "serious criminal offences".

An application has been made to review the premise licence of Skye Lounge in Felixstowe after issues were presented to East Suffolk Council.

A public notice stated grounds for the application were prevention of crime and disorder.

The notice said the premises was allegedly "Concerned in serious criminal offences including participation of the supply of controlled drugs and participation in organised crime."

Representations to the council must be made before Monday, January 22.

A statement on Felixstowe and Woodbridge local police Facebook said officers had been working on the application.

The bar applied for its use as a sports bar and restaurant in October last year following complaints from residents.
