There are still two weeks to go for you to nominate your community heroes for a Star of Suffolk Award.
We know there are countless people working quietly behind the scenes and making Suffolk the special county that it is - and now, here's your chance to say a big thank you!
In total, there are eight Stars of Suffolk Awards up for grabs, each designed to pay tribute to an unsung hero doing good in our county.
Last week, we brought you the first three categories for which you can nominate the county’s unsung heroes. This week, we are taking you through the next three categories.
Nominated by you, this is the chance to pay tribute to those who go above and beyond to help others, but whose efforts all too often go unpraised.
To nominate your hero, go to www.starsofsuffolk.co.uk and fill in the short form. Entries close on Sunday, February 11.

What are the Stars of Suffolk Award categories?
NHS & Emergency Services Personnel of the Year
We are in awe of how our emergency services weathered the storm of the pandemic, and we are determined to highlight the incredible work they do serving our community and keeping us all safe. This award could go to someone from the police, fire service or someone who worked in the NHS. In coming to work every day, they save countless lives and rescue people from difficult situations. This category aims to shine a light on some of the fantastic individuals who work in these services.
Outstanding Bravery Act of the Year
This category gives you the chance to celebrate someone who did something amazing in an ‘on the spot’ act of bravery or heroism. Do you someone who didn’t think twice to help when it really mattered?
Team/Community Group of the Year
Great community work often relies on a team of committed individuals working together. With this category, we are looking for a team or group which dedicates itself to the betterment of others and makes a real difference in the community.
STAY TUNED - Buy the East Anglian Daily Times or Ipswich Star this time next week, when we will be taking you through the remaining Stars of Suffolk categories.
