Live DJs, street food, and a host of craft beer is set to come to the Suffolk Coast on the bank holiday weekend for a celebration of food and drink.

Shop and micro bar business Hopsters, which has branches in Ipswich and Felixstowe, is set to host Suffolk’s “biggest beer festival”, the 2024 Beach Street Beer Festival, at the coastal venue.

The free to enter event will feature craft beers, real ales from guest breweries that include Deya, Burnt Mill, Phantom, Three Hills and Time and Tide.

Also on offer will be fine spirits, street food, and live DJs, running on Friday, May 24 and Saturday, May 25, from 5pm to 10pm on Friday, and 12pm to 10pm on Saturday.

More than 800 attended last year’s festival, and organisers say that 2024’s event will be even larger than that.

Organiser Ed Barnes, who is also behind expanding craft beer shop group Hopsters, said: "I'm incredibly excited for the return of the Beach Street Beer Festival.

“The standard of breweries is incredibly high and with Beach Street becoming busier and busier each year, it will be another fantastic event.

“I don't think there's a better location than Beach Street to hold a beer festival. With the amazing choice of street food and live DJs too, it’s become a regular fixture in a lot of people’s diaries.

East Anglian Daily Times:

“The weather forecast says it's going to be the perfect day for a beer in the sun. What more could you ask for?"

Beach Street in Felixstowe is a unique dining hot spot in the town created from upcycled shipping containers.

The venue will also be hosting a Football Fanzone for Euro 24, showing all England games on the LED screen at The Shed, along with live entertainment of bands and DJs.
