Children at a Stowupland primary school have enjoyed a brilliant colour run to help raise money for their school playground.

More than 200 pupils at Freeman Community Primary School took part in a run around the school’s Daily Mile Track while coloured paint was thrown at them.

The event, held on Friday May 24, helped raise money to resurface the school playground this summer.

Headteacher Emma Gerry said: "It was fantastic to see the children enjoying themselves. I am certain this will be a memory the children will hold on to for a long time.

“Huge thanks to the parent volunteers and the Friends of Freeman for making it possible."

Organised by parent volunteer charity Stowupland Friends of Freeman, the event was sponsored by Retreat East and supported by Pure Gym.

It was a fantastic way to end the half term, with explosions of red, yellow, pink, green and purple.
