The grounds of a new Bury St Edmunds health club set to open later this year is taking shape as building work continues.
David Lloyd Leisure Ltd was granted permission from West Suffolk Council for a reserved matters application at the 2.01 hectare site off Sandlands Drive, at Marham Park, in the summer of 2023.
Plans, which were submitted in February, include the creation of a health, fitness and racquets club with a tennis dome enclosure and three tennis courts.
There will also be a Battle Box area, padel courts, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, gym and studio facilities, as well as a spa and children's soft play area.
The plans include a total of 225 car parking spaces and 20 cycle spaces.
In June, signage appeared on the front of the building.
New pictures from the site show turf is being laid and a patio surface has been created to the front of the building.
Work started on the project in November last year and David Lloyd has confirmed the site will open in the winter this year.
The new centre in the west Suffolk town will create 75 new jobs.
