A charity has been left saddened after all of the wheels on one of its minibuses were stolen.
The Green Light Trust, based in Bury Road, Lawshall, had the full set of wheels and tyres of its largest Ford Transit minibus taken some time between Saturday night and Sunday morning.
Alex Todd, head of people and culture at the charity, said the organisation has been left saddened by the theft, particularly as many of the charity's participants rely on the bus to attend sessions.
"The impact is not just on us as an organisation, it is on people who attend our services," said Mr Todd.
"Our minibuses are important not just to us but to our participants too, some of whom can't travel independently to our rural sites to attend our services.
"It makes it harder and we're having to arrange other options. Some people may not be able to attend sessions or we are using our own cars or taxis, which of course costs money.
"We were all quite sad because of the impact operationally."
The Green Light Trust works with adults, children and young people with additional needs and mental health conditions.
Mr Todd added: "The village of Lawshall itself has been brilliant. It was someone in the village that told us it had happened.
"People have been offering donations to help us which has been fantastic. People have really rallied around us and it has been nice to see."
The incident has been reported to Suffolk police.
A police spokesperson said: "Overnight from 6 to 7 July an offender or offenders stole all four wheels from a Ford Transit van minibus parked within a yard off Bury Road in Lawshall.
"Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with CCTV or a smart doorbell in the area, or anyone who has a dash camera who was driving in the area to review footage to see if there is anything relevant.
"Anyone with any information is asked to contact police, quoting reference 37/37999/24."
Anyone who wishes to donate to the Green Light Trust in the wake of the theft can do so on its website.
