A restaurant serving up the "essence of Italy" has opened in an historic market town.
Pommodoro is located in Abbeygate Street in Bury St Edmunds after taking over the premises once owned by Really Rather Good.
The former café announced its closure earlier this year and had been run by Annette and George Stanford for nearly 10 years.
The new Italian eatery is owned by Delil Simsek, who also runs Francela in Angel Hill.
Mr Simsek previously reassured customers the Mediterranean grill and meze would not be replaced by this new venture.
