As England football fans wait patiently and prepare for Sunday's game against Spain, take a look at the last time the Three Lions competed in the European Championship.

Euro 2020 was delayed to the summer of 2021 because of the Covid pandemic, but it only built more anticipation as England were expected to do well.

And they certainly lived up to the hype - England made it all the way to the final, against Italy.

Despite Luke Shaw's early opener, England lost to the Italians in a dreaded penalty shootout.

But the journey throughout the tournament was certainly memorable, with fans flocking to Ipswich pubs to cheer on their heroes through the group stage and knockout rounds.
