A primary school that was rated inadequate by Ofsted two years ago has been upgraded to good after "markedly" improving.
St Felix Roman Catholic Primary School in School Lane, Haverhill, which is part of Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Multi Academy Trust, was rated inadequate in November 2022.
But following an inspection on June 19 and 20 the school, which has 261 pupils aged three to 11, has had its rating upgraded to good.
A report published by Ofsted on July 10 said: "The school, with the support of the trust, has markedly improved the quality of the curriculum.
"They have an ambitious curriculum in place that is well organised. The school provides staff the guidance and training they need to teach effectively."
They praised Key Stage One pupils' achievement in English and mathematics, which they said were above national averages.
However, in some areas, inspectors found curriculum plans expected pupils to "learn too much in a short space of time" and teachers "do not give pupils the time they need to gain knowledge thoroughly".
Inspectors found teachers routinely check pupil knowledge and understanding and give them the help they need to avoid falling behind.
They said occasionally these checks do not spot when pupils forget knowledge they studied in previous terms or years.
The school was praised for swiftly identifying the needs of pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
Inspectors said the school puts in place "well-considered guidance and training" for staff to support these pupils and added that staff adapt learning activities well during lessons.
Reading was also praised, with staff supporting pupils to become fluent readers and extra help given to those struggling.
They said pupils enjoy enriching educational visits, such as trips to an Anglo-Saxon village.
The report reads: "Leaders have won the confidence of parents and staff. Many parents comment about how pupils enjoy learning and happily go to school."
To improve, Ofsted inspectors said the school must ensure that all areas of the curriculum are planned so pupils have enough time to learn.
They added that the school must ensure teachers check what pupils remember from previous terms or years and provide support when gaps are found.
Ofsted will typically inspect good schools every four years.
