A Suffolk dog show drew crowds with a celebrity judge and a variety of unique categories.

The annual event took place at Foxearth Lodge, in Woodbridge, with revered Blue Peter presenter and Crufts commentator, Peter Purves, stepping in as judge.

The show, which gained remarkable participation both from relatives and nearby residents, presented an array of categories where dogs could strut their stuff.

These included the unique Most Pawesome Eyes, Best Rescue Pooch, and Waggiest Tail categories, along with more traditional ones like Best Tricks and Most Obedient Dog.

Added to that, there was also the Dog the Judge Wants to Take Home, Dog Most Like Its Owner, Best Dressed Dog and Residents’ Choice.

However, the main spectacle was the esteemed Best in Show award, where the day's definitive top-notch dog was chosen from among all the category winners.

Mr Purves, known for his deep affection for canines, imparted his expert judgement and commentary, with highlights comprising memorable stunts in the Best Tricks class and the creative canine outfits seen in the Best Dressed Dog category.

Not just a recognition of canine talent and charisma, the show aimed to bolster community ties, leaving everyone with fond memories and positively wagging tails.
