There are currently long delays on the A12 after police were called to a crash.
Officers are at the scene of the incident in the southbound carriageway near Stratford St Mary.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said a full carriageway closure was put in place, but one lane has since reopened.
Police were originally called to reports of a broken-down lorry and recovery is now taking place.
The extent of any injuries is not yet known.
According to the AA Traffic Map there are delays of around 20 minutes in the area.
