The National Trust has lodged plans to restore an ice cream kiosk which was destroyed at one of its sites in Suffolk.
In 2022, the ice cream and coffee kiosk at National Trust Flatford was set on fire and damaged.
New plans submitted to Babergh District Council reveal the National Trust is looking to erect a new kiosk.
A planning statement suggests the main food outlet at the site is struggling to cope with the number of customers since the kiosk was destroyed.
The loss of the kiosk is creating a bottleneck and a build-up of queues.
"Reinstating the kiosk in the original location will allow the trust to be more efficient, reduce waiting times, increase the offer with scooped ice cream, and therefore generate more income from the site, which in turn we can invest back through our projects," a planning statement said.
So far, no objections have been received in response to the application.
The proposals will be determined by the council by Wednesday, August 21.
