The owner of a Suffolk children's shop has described a new play cafe as 'a dream of ours' after announcing that the new facility will be opening in a few weeks.
Sarah Blanchard, who owns Fox + Bramble in Felixstowe, has announced that The Nook will be opening at the rear of the premises on August 12 to provide a space where children can be free to play while their parents can relax with a coffee, whether alone or with friends.
The cafe will also serve smoothies and smoothie bowls, porridge bowls, ice cream, refreshments and treats.

In preparation for the opening, the space has had a "complete makeover," including the installation of a new kitchen.
Sarah said: "A play café has been a dream of ours for a long time and having the space at the rear of Fox + Bramble in Felixstowe, it just felt like it was meant to be.
"As a mum of four, there was never anything like this when my boys were young – somewhere you could go for coffee and a catch up with friends, or even on your own, and know that your little ones can play in a child-friendly environment."
As well as launching The Nook, Sarah is also launching a take away menu on Saturday to coincide with this weekend's Felixstowe Carnival, which will include smoothies, waffles, milkshakes and ice cream, as well as coffees and speciality teas.

In addition, at the end of August, Fox + Bramble will be launching an outdoor garden at The Nook to accompany the indoor play area, which will be open ended, meaning no booking will be necessary.
The booking system for the play cafe is set to go live on July 29.
Fox + Bramble, which has a store in Ipswich, opened last year in the former Scarborough Opticians and Hearing Care premises on the corner of Orwell Road and Stanley Road.
