Multiple air ambulances were called to a Suffolk town after a car collided with a shop, leaving three individuals with "potentially life-changing injuries".
Emergency services were called to Lawson Place in Bury St Edmunds at just after 5.30pm on Saturday to reports of a car colliding with a shop front.
Multiple fire service and ambulance crews were seen at the scene, as well as two air ambulances.
A police spokesman later confirmed that three pedestrians had sustained "potentially life-changing injuries" following the collision.
Images of the air ambulances landing at the scene and officers setting up a perimeter can be seen on our blog.
The road was closed off and drivers parked at the car park were escorted out of the area.
Officers also asked crowds gathered around the road to leave the area.
It is believed that the shop the car crashed into is Moreton Hall Fish and Kebab, which is adjoined to Hubbard's Butchers & Fine Food in Lawson Place.
Two air ambulances and an emergency ambulance were seen leaving the scene at around 6.45pm.
A number of emergency service vehicles then remained at Lawson Place throughout the evening.
We have contacted police for further information.
