A cat café in a Suffolk town is expected to reopen this week after it has been closed for almost a month.
Finnegan’s Whiskers in North Street in Sudbury shut its doors earlier this month while some of its cats were undergoing treatment as advised by a vet.
Shelley Smith said the cats were receiving treatment for a skin infection and expected all animals to make a full recovery.
The cat café is now expected to reopen on Thursday.
The initial closure was originally planned to be for 10 days however it got pushed back to allow the cats more time to recover.
Mrs Smith said: "The whole team including the cats can’t wait to see the café filled with friendly faces once more, we have missed our lovely customers."
The cat café opened its doors for the first time in November 2023 and has already become a much-loved destination for cat lovers across the county.
Although no food will be prepared at the premises, Mrs Smith is working with local suppliers and offers cakes, brownies, savoury pastries and a range of hot and cold drinks.
