A Norfolk and Suffolk fire service enthusiast plans to pen two historical books on the subject of his interest.
For 34 years, Chris Wisken, who lives in Harleston, has held a keen interest in both regional fire services.
As time advanced, so did his curiosity, particularly about the history of these fire brigades.
He realised that there was an apparent void in literature regarding the Norfolk Fire Service's history, with existing works focusing on individual stations only.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service had garnered some historical attention in book form, but lacked recent updates.
His objective now is to fill these gaps, recording the past and present of both fire services in two respective books.
Each book will provide a detailed chronicle of fire services in Norfolk and Suffolk, offering readers unique insight.
Currently, the author is gathering information for his research, openly inviting anyone who can assist with information, newspaper clippings or photographs to get in touch.
He can be contacted at his provided address, or via his email - wiskenchris88@gmail.com.
