A long-awaited new McDonald's restaurant has opened and served its first customers in a west Suffolk town.
The fast-food chain opened its newest eatery in the county in Bumpstead Road in Haverhill at 11am on Wednesday.
The new 121-seater restaurant will create about 110 new full and part-time jobs for people living in the area.
It will be open for 24 hours, seven days a week and delivery will be available from Thursday, August 29.
Ahmet Mustafa, who now owns and operates 18 McDonald’s restaurants in the Suffolk, Essex, and Cambridge area, said: “We are delighted to be opening another brand-new McDonald’s restaurant in Haverhill and can’t wait to see local customers, both new and old, enjoy our services on offer.
"It’s particularly exciting to be opening this new restaurant as McDonald’s celebrates its 50th year in the UK.
"People are at the heart of our business, and we look forward to welcoming new employees with the jobs our restaurant will create.
"We’re committed to investing in opportunities for a mix of all ages, life stages and backgrounds, promoting flexibility and equality.”
