A gift shop could open in a former town centre clothing store following its recent move.
Lisa Angel Limited has applied for a premises licence for the former Phase Eight shop at 25 Abbeygate Street in Bury St Edmunds.
An application to West Suffolk Council states the shop will sell gift items that are "not low value".
The application includes the sale of alcohol for consumption off of the premises which will be sold for gifting.
It seeks permission to open from 8am to 9pm and sell the alcohol during the same hours.
Last month, the Norwich-based company revealed plans for a shop in Southwold, the first in the county.
The lifestyle brand was first set up almost 20 years ago and currently has two stores in Norwich city centre.
The Southwold shop opened in July.
25 Abbeygate Street has not long been empty, as Phase Eight left the site for a larger premises in the arc shopping centre which opened on July 19.
Representations on the Abbeygate Street plan may be made to West Suffolk Council by August 28.
