A 20 metre tree was alight after a bonfire spread to it.
Firefighters from Bury St Edmunds were at the scene in Ipswich Road in Rougham after a call shortly before 3.45pm on Thursday.
A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said: "One crew from Bury St Edmunds are attending a fire on Ipswich Road in Rougham.
"It is believed a bonfire spread, causing a tree 20 metres tall to be well alight."
The fire service said there have been no injuries reported.
