A traditional tea room in Bury St Edmunds has won an award for a menu item with a twist.
Procopio's Pantry, in Bury St Edmunds, has won a star from the Great Taste Awards this year for their cheese scones with a "hint" of chilli.
The pantry opened in 2021 and is owned by brother and sister team Pete Procopio and Noosha Procopio, who put Italian influences into a traditional English tea room.
In 2021, Pete said his cheese and chilli scones had been popular in Littleport and now they have won a one star award.
Procopio's Pantry was recognised as one of 54 Suffolk businesses to win the guild award in which more than 500 judges took part in blind taste tests to rate the quality of food producers across the country.
