Jewellery, cash and a scooter have been stolen in a spate of thefts in a west Suffolk town.

Officers are appealing for information after two homes were broken into, a car was vandalised and a scooter was stolen in Haverhill.

The first break in occurred between 9am and 7pm on Tuesday, July 30, in Newton Place in Haverhill.

Thieves are believed to have forced their way through the back door of the house and were able to steal a quantity of cash and a watch after searching different rooms. 

That same day, at some time between 8am and 2pm, intruders entered a home in Munnings Close.

The thieves forced their way into the home through the kitchen door causing damage to a panel and the sides of the door.

They then searched the house and found jewellery which they stole before fleeing the premises. 

Meanwhile, a car window was also smashed at a property in Crowland Road the following night, on Wednesday, July 31 at some time between 6pm and 6am.

The rear window of the car was smashed but nothing was taken from inside. 

A red and black Mycycle E-scooter was also stolen at some time between 7.38pm and 7.55pm on Signal Way.
