A bakery has announced its closing date after three years in a market town. 

Mama Bears Cake Bar shared it would be closing its bakery in High Street, Saxmundham after the retail space was put on the market. 

Rebecca Cockett opened the pastel pink bakery three years ago and was her first store after setting up the business two years prior. 

The bakery later expanded to open a second location in Ipswich, which will remain open with no changes.

Previously speaking about the closure, Ms Cockett said: "Our Saxmundham store will be closing later this year as the lease has come to a natural end. 

"We will be looking for new premises for future shops."

"Saxmundham has been absolutely amazing over the last three years and I can't thank you all enough for your love and support," said the bakery owner.

The business is running a special buy three, get one free offer at the bakeries in Saxmndham and Ipswich ahead of the closure in the east Suffolk town.
