A Suffolk wedding venue is now offering luxury accommodation after works were halted by the pandemic.
Hungarian Hall, in Pettistree, near Woodbridge, was previously a working arable farm before before it began hosting events in the 1990s and a wedding venue from 2008.
One of the old apple barns has now been converted into luxury accommodation with five suites, four one-bedroom suites and one five-bedroom suite.
This allows a total of 20 guests to stay over at the hall.
Planning for the conversion was granted before the pandemic with work set to start in 2020.
But the countrywide lockdowns as well as the strain of the pandemic on the hospitality industry led to delays with the project only getting underway last August.
The estate has been owned by David and Diane Boardley since the late seventies and their youngest son, Chris also works in the business and spoke about the effects of the pandemic on the business.
"It's been long overdue," said Mr Boardley, "We were affected quite badly [by Covid] and thrown into turmoil on all sides of the business.
"It hit us really badly so that meant that the accommodation side really got put on the back burner."
Before the new suites were built, the nearest accommodation was nearly a mile away and the venue wanted to offer customers something attached to the estate.
Mr Boardley added that in addition for offering somewhere for friends and family to stay, the rooms can be used for holiday lets in the winter months.
The family is holding an open day on Sunday, September 15, from 11am to 3pm for visitors to see the new rooms.
