The Blues returned from the international break with a 1-0 win at Sheffield Wednesday as Kieran McKenna's side made it five wins out of six as they continued their impressive start to life in the second tier. 

Newly-relegated Southampton come into the match off the back of heavy defeats to Sunderland (5-0 away) and Leicester (4-1 at home).

The Saints may have seen some key men depart this summer, James Ward-Prowse among them, but Russell Martin's squad still contains nine players who cost north of £10m to sign.
