Ipswich Town transfer target Jaden Philogene has joined up with his Hull City team-mates at their pre-season training camp in Turkey.
The Blues have been trying to thrash out a double deal to sign tricky winger Philogene and centre-back Jacob Greaves from the Tigers in recent weeks, having made an initial offer of around £35m plus add-ons.
It's understood that the Greaves part of the transfer is virtually complete, but negotiations over Philogene have clearly proved trickier.
On Monday, Hull owner Acun Ilicali said Ipswich were 'favourites' to sign the pair.
Since then, however, Aston Villa, who sold Philogene to Hull for £5m last summer, have reportedly triggered their 'matching rights' clause, while Everton and Crystal Palace are said to be interested.
In the latest twist of what is becoming a transfer saga, Philogene arrived in Turkey late last night to join up with the Hull squad at their pre-season training camp. The rest of the squad had flown out on Tuesday.
Hull Live reports that Ipswich Town 'still remain the favourites' to sign the 22-year-old, but that 'Hull are prepared to keep Philogene at the club if an acceptable deal cannot be reached'.
Ipswich are expected to complete the £15m signing of 21-year-old striker Liam Delap from Manchester City today.
Kieran McKenna has already signed recent loan star Omari Hutchinson from Chelsea for £18m, with the Blues beating stiff competition to snap up right-back Ben Johnson after his contract at West Ham expired.
Blues chief executive Mark Ashton insisted he would be 'brave and bold' in the transfer market as the club prepared for life back in the Premier League following a 22-year absence.
