Ipswich Town Women have made their fifth signing of the summer as attacking midfielder Ella Rutherford has agreed a one-year deal at the club.
The 24-year-old joins from Championship Charlton Athletic, having spent the last four years at the Addicks.
Rutherford began her career with Millwall before spells at Bristol City, Crystal Palace and Leicester. She has also represented England at multiple youth levels.
She has suffered a few injury set-backs over the last few years, including a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in February 2023.
Manager Joe Sheehan said: “Ella’s played in the Super League and Championship and is a clever, attacking midfielder who is really creative and can bring good energy to the group.
“She has good experience and has also represented England at various youth levels, so she is a player we’re all looking forward to working with.”
The Tractor Girls have already brought in Angela Addison, Grace Garrad, Shauna Guyatt and Charlotte Fleming this summer.
