New Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer congratulated Ipswich Town on their promotion to the Premier League during his first Prime Minister's Questions yesterday.
Arsenal fan Sir Keir praised the Blues in response to a question from Ipswich's new Labour MP Jack Abbott during the historic first PMQs session under the new government.
Abbott said: "We have much to be proud of in Ipswich, from a thriving arts and culture scene to beautiful parks and a stunning Waterfront.
"Unlike our neighbours from Norfolk we also have a Premier League football side again. The Prime Minister is very welcome to come and see them when Arsenal visit next year."

In response, Sir Keir said: "Can I welcome my honourable friend to his place.
"I congratulate Ipswich Town on their promotion but I am going to resist the temptation that he puts before me to choose between Ipswich and Norwich!"
Speaking afterwards, Abbott said he hopes to see Sir Keir at Portman Road when the Gunners visit on April 19th.
He joked: "That will be in the middle of the local election campaign for the county council.
"He can come out campaigning for us in the morning before going to the match in the afternoon!"
