HELEN ELSIE BROOKES 1933-2024 Helen died peacefully at Foxearth Lodge Care home on Sunday 10th March 2024, former resident of Framlingham and Hacheston. Nurse, Midwife, School Nurse. Teaching Assistant. Chair of Suffolk Coastal District Council. Development Officer at Hastoe Housing. Brown Owl, Chair of Hacheston Rose Festival and Hacheston Church Bells.Dearly loved wife of Peter. Mother to Jane, Susan and Martin. Mother-in-law to Trevor, Graham and Ellen. Grandmother to Mary, Sarah, Alice, Martha and James. Good friend to all. 'In the end, it is not about how we die, but how we lived.' The funeral will take place on Tuesday 26th March at Seven Hills Crematorium at 3.00 p.m. A celebration of Helen's life will take place in Hacheston on Saturday 1st June. Family flowers only. A wonderful lady, Helen taught me a lot whilst working at Hastoe Housing Association. Always took time to help and give good advice. A brilliant Development Office.
