Eight new homes have been proposed to boost the regeneration of a Suffolk town centre.
An application submitted to West Suffolk Council seeks to build eight residential units on disused land at Empire Yard on Brook Service Road, Haverhill.
The proposal seeks to build a three-storey building with habitable loft space on the town centre site.
The design statement details that these would be built with "the aspiration to provide high quality, well designed, sustainable homes, that will contribute positively and enhance the character of the area."
Making up the eight residential units would be one studio apartment, two one-beds, three two-beds and two three-bedroom homes.
The design of the proposal is meant to reflect Haverhill's history as a mill town, incorporating a red brick façade with stone windowsills and a natural slate roof.
The application says the development would "support the ongoing regeneration of Haverhill town centre" by replacing the "poorly maintained and untidy sprawl of the rear of utility buildings."
