A Bury St Edmunds woman has spoken of her immense pride after she was selected to represent her town at the 2023 UK Hair and Beauty Awards.
Phoebe Robson, 24, has been hairdressing for a year and trains at The London Hair Academy, which she attends weekly.
She entered herself in the 'Best New Talent' category and had to write about her journey, her achievements and why she thought she was deserving of a title for the application.
"I wasn't expecting to be chosen as a finalist," she said.
"My parents Rob and Lisa were extremely proud and felt I was deserving of the title due to all the hard work they have seen me putting into my hairdressing journey."
The UK Hair and Beauty Awards take place in Birmingham in April but, as the event is already sold out, Miss Robson will be hosting a gathering with friends and family to live-stream it from her home.
She will be fully qualified as of March this year and added: "My plans are to go to more private-hosted courses by other very talented individuals and see where my hairdressing dreams take me!"
