A second children's home has been proposed for Haverhill, less than a month after a similar application by the same company.
Area Camden Group, which oversees privately-run children's homes, is proposing to use 9 Tasman Road as its newest site.
Less than a five-minute drive away is Manor Croft in Hamlet Road, a site that the same organisation submitted a planning application for in late February.
Area Camden Group say this second property would generally be occupied by a maximum of up to four children between the ages of 10 and 17.
The children may stay at the house for a period of "a few months to a few years", dependent on individual circumstances.
The planning application also details that two employees will be present at the Haverhill property at all times, with visitors welcome to come during the day by appointment.
Area Camden says that the staff, children and young people in their existing homes have formed positive relationships within the area and adds: "We are looking forward to adding to the community of Haverhill with 9 Tasman Road."
