Plans have been submitted to build a new communal living building in Haverhill, providing accommodation for "people that have experienced varying challenges in their life".
Ellis Estates has applied to construct a new residential building on the land behind 5 Wratting Road, which is managed by the Anglia Care Trust (ACT).
Plans request permission to build a two-storey building complete with six rooms for residents and a communal living area.
The design plans also propose the site being a car-free development, pointing to its "very sustainable" location within Haverhill, close to local amenities.
In a letter of support provided by ACT, it states that they provide "much needed residential accommodation for people that have experienced varying challenges in their life".

The Trust adds that it is "very supportive" of the proposed new build, saying that the layout "enables resdients to have moral support from their co-residents while also having privacy and their own place when required."
