A Suffolk pub has reopened – only a few days after shutting.
It was announced last Tuesday that The Royal Oak in Stowmarket would be temporarily closing.
Greene King revealed it would be working on a solution to reopen the pub as soon as possible.
The pub has now opened its doors once more – with familiar faces at the helm.
"Basically because our launch went so well they have asked us to look after it," said Ysobel Hellon-Warwick, who also runs the nearby The Swan at Needham Market.
"We want to try and build it as a community pub. We are super excited."
Pub group The Rose and Thorn Pub Company will take on the day-to-day running of the venue while a permanent landlord is found.
James Farrington, who is Stowmarket born and bred and used to drink in the pub, will be the general manager of the pub.
Ysobel added: "More than anything, we just want to prepare it to be as perfect as we can.
"It is a hard thing when you go into somewhere as you want to build a trust, as these people have been going to these pubs for years."
It is hoped that a permanent landlord for the pub will be found soon.
