A 34-year-old man has absconded from a Suffolk prison.
Police are appealing for help to trace John Wickens, who is serving a six-month sentence for burglary and theft at Hollesley Bay prison.
It was reported at 4am on Friday that he was last seen at 9pm on Thursday.
Wickens is described as having short, brown hair, blue eyes and is of a slim build.
When last seen, he was wearing a grey t-shirt, demin shorts and full-length black leggings underneath.
He has a scar on his left arm, a tattoo on his right hand stating ‘Mummy, Bob, Nicky’, a tattoo on his right hand wrist stating ‘Mummy Daddy’ and a tattoo of a Celtic band on his right hand wrist.
Wickens also has a scar on his face on the right side.
Anyone who has seen him, knows of his whereabouts or has seen a man matching the description given should contact Suffolk police, quoting crime number 37/45278/23
