A missing swimmer prompted a huge search mission off the Suffolk coast.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident in Aldeburgh at about 10am on Tuesday.
Coastguard rescue teams from Aldeburgh, Lowestoft and Shingle Street were called to carry out a search of the area, as well as an RNLI crew from Aldeburgh and a Coastguard helicopter.
The swimmer was found on the shore safe and well following the search.
It follows another search and rescue mission off the coast of Aldeburgh last week.
Emergency services were called at about 1.15pm on Wednesday, September 20 after reports that a man had entered the sea and not re-emerged.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said: “Officers believe they know who the missing man is and his family have been informed.”
The search was called off after they did not locate the man.
"The matter will now sit with police as a missing person case and officers will complete any other enquiries that there are to be made locally," the police spokesman added.
