The two best pubs for a roast dinner in Suffolk are The Black Lion in Long Melford and The Brewers in Rattlesden.

Describing The Black Lion, Muddy Stilettos said: "We love the family sharing roast concept here- a board of meats, lots of seasonal vegetables, nice big Yorkshires and crispy roasties, all served sharing style like you'd enjoy at home but with none of the washing up."

Muddy Stilettos describes this pub's roast as "elegant, instagrammable and totally delicious".

"Don't expect a plate piled to the rafters with potatoes and Yorkshires. This is a much more refined affair with smaller portions and each and every bite being a complete taste explosion."
