A man and a woman have been rescued after their car got trapped in a flooded road.
Firefighters were called to Lower Road in Glemsford, near Sudbury, at about 9.40am on Friday.
A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said the car was trapped in about flood water which was one metre deep.
Firefighters wearing wetsuits rescued a 59-year-old man and 58-year-old woman from the vehicle.
A number of roads across the county remain flooded on Friday morning after torrential downpours brought by Storm Ciarán on Thursday.
The Environment Agency has also issued 14 flood alerts for the county, following on from a series of alerts being issued on Thursday.
Drivers are being urged to take extra care on the road today and are advised to not travel through flooded roads.
