A pub in Suffolk has been granted permission to make refurbishments internally and externally.
Red Lion Pub in Martlesham has been granted planning permission by East Suffolk Council to undergo work.
Due to the premises being a listed building, the pub, owned by Greene King, had to seek permission to do the refurbishment.
Work to the pub includes the repair and replacement of external doors and windows, new cladding to modern extension, and internal refurbishment.
Landscaping works will also be done, including a new pergola, extension of the rear patio area, fencing and other minor works such as decorations and repairs.
New and replacement signage will also go up.
A new ramp is to be constructed internally to gain full access for wheelchair users.
East Suffolk Council has granted permission and has said that work should begin within three years, and that work should be carried out in accordance with the plans.
It does not state in the plans whether the pub will need to close for a period of time to allow for work to be done.
