Empty office space on a key route in a west Suffolk market town could be transformed into four homes as plans have been submitted to a council.
Applicant Lanevo Estates Ltd has submitted a prior approval application to West Suffolk Council for the change of use of offices at The Old Courts at 147 All Saints Road, in Newmarket.
The proposed change of use would see the offices converted into four new homes, two of which would be one-bedroom apartments, one of which would be a two-bedroom home and one a four-bedroom home.
The building was most recently occupied by Caroline Poulton Accountants and Voluntary Networks Limited, who had leased the premises until March 31 and June 30 respectively.
The premises have not been used by employees as as an office and have been empty since these dates.
A statement before West Suffolk Council said: "There will be some internal changes to building to convert it to the 4 properties, but there are no external changes proposed to the building."
