Could you give these lovely dogs the perfect start to the year by giving them their forever home?

At the RSPCA Suffolk Central branch, there are currently two dogs that have not yet been rehomed or reserved.

Here is some information on the pair.

Junior

The American Akita crossbreed was brought into the care of the RSPCA after he was removed from his former home by an inspector.

Junior, who is believed to be around nine years old is finding kennel life very stressful and so he is looking for his perfect retirement home.

He has been described as a sweet boy, who enjoys being in the company of his favourite people, playing with his toys and enjoying lots of tasty snacks.

Due to his breed, he will need his new humans to groom him regularly to keep his coat in tip top conditon.

Although Junior cannot currently live with another dog, he would benefit from having some canine companions to walk with once he has settled into the home, and may be able to live with another dog in the future.

Theo

Sweet little Theo is also looking for his forever retirement home, after he arrived in the care of the RSPCA when his previous owner could no longer look after him.

Members of staff at the branch said despite his age, he is still young at heart and loves to run after tennis balls, play tug of war with his favourite toys and go on short walks.

After all that he loves a long snooze.

Theo does require a special Hypoallergenic diet to keep his skin and stomach in a healthy condition, as well as some training on helping him feel less anxious when seeing other dogs out on walks.

More information on both dogs can be found on the RSPCA's website.
