Entries for the EADT Business Awards 2024 are now open, and the Medium Business of the Year award aims to recognise businesses with a turnover of £1-5 million that have achieved great things over the past 12 months.
Ipswich-based insurance broker Pound Gates is once again sponsoring the Medium Business of the Year award, having also sponsored the category in 2022 and 2023.
Reflecting on last year’s awards, finance and commercial director Josh Yasar said: “The entries in this category were all brilliant; businesses which are managed and run by very successful business leaders.
“It was a pleasure to get to know all those businesses and witness the contribution that they make in our local economy, and understand more about how they look after their staff and communities in which they operate.
“Being part of their journey at the 2023 awards and seeing them receive the recognition that they deserve was the main driver for our decision to sponsor this category again.”
Noting the “economic uncertainty in the UK and globally” over the past couple of years, Mr Yasar said he is keen to find out how this year’s entrants “continue to manage these difficult circumstances and what support, whether it is financial or non-financial, they provide to their staff”.
He will also be looking for companies that have put sustainability at the heart of their business.
“In 2024, sustainability is not a trend but a necessity,” he said. “Businesses must prioritise sustainable practices for enduring success. This commitment not only aligns with consumer values but also ensures a positive impact on the environment, fostering a resilient and responsible business future.”
Mr Yasar added that winning this award will help a business stand out from others in its industry.
“The EADT Business Awards are widely regarded as the voice of the county. Such an accolade will be the result of a rigorous judging process, ensuring that winners truly are the best in their field.
“Moreover, winning an EADT Business Award is cause for a real celebration with your hardworking staff and can be enjoyed within your publicity for years to come.”
