A restaurant and bar on the Suffolk coast has announced plans to reopen soon after closing for flooding more than three months ago. 

The Sail Loft closed its business in Southwold in October last year after Storm Babet caused flooding in the area. 

An announcement on the restaurant's Instagram said: "Dear Sail Loft customers, due to flooding after recent storms, the Sail Loft has been forced to temporarily close its doors for the foreseeable future.

"We appreciate your understanding during this tough time and hope to welcome Southwold back through our doors as soon as it is safe to do so."

There has been much speculation over when the Southwold restaurant would reopen.

Owner Jonathan Nicholson has confirmed he is hopeful the restaurant could be open again by April or May of this year.
