A man has died after a crash involving a motorcycle and a van outside a Suffolk town.
Emergency services were called to a serious crash on the A131 between Sudbury and Little Maplestead, north of Halstead, at about 10.40am on Saturday.
The incident involved a box van and a motorcycle.
The rider of the motorcycle, a man in his 40s, died at the scene, a spokesman for Essex Police later confirmed.
The driver of the lorry, a 29-year-old man from Enfield, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
He was taken into custody for questioning and has since been released under investigation.
The road was closed for nearly eight hours while officers were at the scene conducting an investigation and recovering the vehicles.
The road reopened at about 6.25pm.
