An inquest has opened into the death of a woman who died in Spain.
Emily Auchincloss died on September 16 last year while holidaying in Marbella.
The 34-year-old was born in Bury St Edmunds but was residing in Gloucestershire at the time of her death.
At Suffolk Coroners’ Court on Friday it was heard that Ms Auchincloss is believed to have been struck by a vehicle while she was crossing a road and later died from her injuries.
The court was told that a police investigation is currently underway in Spain, but the outcome of this is as yet unknown.
Senior Coroner for Suffolk Nigel Parsley opened and suspended an inquest into Ms Auchincloss’ death on Friday.
The inquest is expected to resume on June 3.
