A pub owner has announced "with a heavy heart" that the venue is closing.
Adrian Carr has announced to customers that the Black Tiles family pub and restaurant in Black Tiles Lane, Martlesham, will close and the company has ceased trading.
Mr Carr has been associated with the business for 25 years and took over the management of the pub in 2011, operating as the Black Tiles Pub Company.
He said that the business never recovered from the "eye watering loss of trade" during Covid pandemic lockdowns, along with the rising price of products, tripling energy bills, and cost of living that made it "impossible to make ends meet".
In a social media post, Mr Carr thanked every customer who passed through the doors of the pub.
"I have been blessed by your kindness, charm, cheek, warmth and friendship," he said.
"Some of you have literally become family - you know who you are... I really did have a great time. Farewell."
