Signs for a new B&M store in a west Suffolk town have been put in place.
The new store is expected to open in the former Wilko building following its closure in September, after a last-ditch attempt to save the company failed.
Earlier this month a premises licence application for the St Andrews Street unit was submitted to West Suffolk Council, stating that the retail giant B&M would move in.
Now 'coming soon' signs have been put in place along the walls of the former Wilko store.
Speaking previously, Mildenhall Kingsway and Market councillor, Ian Shipp, said of the application: "I had heard the rumours circulating regarding B&M opening a store in Mildenhall and am now really excited to see an application for a premise licence on their behalf being put into West Suffolk Council.
"The application will hopefully see the recently closed Wilko site in Mildenhall’s town centre being reopened by B&M providing valuable career opportunities for local people and a fantastic new retail site attracting shoppers from far and wide."
B&M has stores in Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket, Lowestoft, Beccles and Stowmarket elsewhere in Suffolk.
