A man was threatened with a hammer late at night in a Long Melford street.
According to Suffolk police, the incident happened at about 10pm on Friday, February 9 outside the Co-op in Hall Street.
Three men in their 20s were approached by two unknown men.
It has been reported that one of the men by the shop was involved in a "verbal altercation" with the suspects, during which he was threatened with a hammer.

The first suspect has been described as white, and most likely in his late teens or early twenties.
He is about 5ft 5ins in height and of a slim build, and was wearing a black hoodie with 'London Shooters' on it at the time of the incident.
The second suspect is described as white and about 5ft 8ins in height.
He was wearing a blue The North Face shirt, black joggers and an Adidas backpack, and carrying a high-vis vest.
Suffolk police urges anyone with information about this incident to contact PC 984 Itze at Sudbury Police Station, quoting reference CAD 330 of February 9.
