A decision has not yet been made about whether charges will be brought in the death of a football club chairman, a court has been told.
On Friday, an inquest at Suffolk Coroners' Court into the death of William Kerslake was adjourned until May.
Mr Kerslake, from Halesworth, died at the scene of a crash near Leiston on June 27 last year.
The court heard that the 57-year-old, who was chairman of Halesworth Town FC, was riding his motorcycle along the B1122 at Leiston when he collided with a car which had crossed his path in attempting to turn into a side road.
Emergency services were called and CPR was commenced, but Mr Kerslake died at the scene.
Halesworth Town paid tribute to its former chairman, saying that the team was “devastated” to hear of his tragic passing.
A statement released by the club said: “Mr Kerslake's achievements as chairman of HTFC have been unprecedented and his time at HTFC will never be forgotten.
"We all remember and thank Mr Kerslake for his dedication and commitment to this unbelievable football club.”
Mr Kerslake was a lifelong football fan and a passionate supporter of the club. For the last 15 years, he had enjoyed watching his two sons playing every Saturday.
On Friday, senior coroner for Suffolk Mr Nigel Parsley agreed for an inquest into Mr Kerslake’s death to be adjourned until May 30.
The court heard that this is pending a decision from the Crown Prosecution Service about whether a prosecution is to take place.
At the time of the accident, it was reported that a 36-year-old male driver of the car which struck Mr Kerslake was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.
He was released on bail until September 27 that year.
